I'm overwhelmed with the love and support that I've received in Kenya. The Gospel has been preached in power, and the fellowship has been sweet among different brethren from different churches. They may lack American conveniences, but they're strong in the Lord and can teach American churches.
Mosquitos and other insects love me, but I'm reminded I have made no sacrifice in coming to Africa, following the Lord's love.
I know many of you want pictures, and I will try to post them soon, but it has been very busy lately with open doors and meeting many brothers I've known through Facebook!
Motorcycles ride through flooded streets that seem impassable by cars. People are hard working and industrious. I love it. I've been many places, but thus far, this is my favorite trip. The weather is a lot like Cali, but slightly more humid. I feel perfectly safe, but I have to be careful because street traffic is a game of inches. Koki Ann wants me to visit the animal park where wild animals roam while you walk. No fence? No Heshimu!
I love you all back in the states and pray for you Larry Austin, Christ Bible Church, and many others.
Nigeria will be another challenge, but my heart is settled. I lay my life down for the Lord. He found me, the vilest sinner out of hell, and gave me fellowship and mercy. As Pastor Ken Mbugua said this evening, "He shows this love day after day - all our faults and all our wanderings have not stopped this great love. It's strong as ever and will carry us to heaven." Tonight's message challenged us to live for Him who died for us (2 Cor 5 5:14-15). I was a blubbering fool, touched by His mercy, because only He knows the pit I was in.
Praise the Lord, Oh my soul: and all that is within me bless His holy name. (Ps 103:1)
