A Welcome Message from the Director:
Hello and greetings in the name of Him who does all things well!
My name is Pastor Austin Huggins; I am the Director and a missionary for FirstLove Missions (FLM), and I would like to say thank you and express my gratitude for your interest in this ministry and the Lord’s work that is being done here, by His grace, for His glory, and for the building up of His body. I would also like to take a moment and give you a brief overview of a couple distinctions about FLM that make this ministry somewhat unique.
First, our two greatest mission endeavors are to proclaim the Gospel and to equip the Church. At times, we may accomplish this through the spoken word by teaching, preaching, and sharing testimony through various conferences and seminars. Along with that, and in collaboration with FirstLove Publications (FLP), we will distribute tracts, books and other biblical literature in large quantities, for free, without charging a penny to the people we minister to.
We operate relationally, both at home and abroad. We do not simply show up somewhere in the world, hold a conference, and never return. Instead, we foster lasting relationships with churches around the world, which is why we currently conduct annual conferences, seminars, and evangelistic efforts in five countries worldwide on three different continents. We also are not missionaries only when we are in foreign fields but we take our responsibility to engage our own people here at home seriously as well.
We are a Faith Ministry. For me personally, when I read the testimony and biography of George Mueller and the miraculous work accomplished through his orphanages, and his involvement with men like him, such as James Hudson Taylor, and Anthony Norris Groves, I was blown away. These mere mortal men, who seemed to have the ear of God, accomplished amazing things in their generation, for the rest of the world to see, and they acquired everything through prayer by faith alone, not by begging people for money. In a generation of modern evangelicalism that has backslid into program based methodology, void of heaven’s Power, and clever fundraising schemes, void of Christ’s Glory, it is breathtaking to see the authentic work of God’s grace in seeing Him providing for His own work.
